Core Strategy and Community Plan Consultation

 

A joint consultation is being held to help shape Eastleigh Borough Council's Core Strategy - which will provide the framework for the borough's planning policies for the next 20 years - and to assist in the updating of the ESP's Community Plan for the borough.  The consultation is open to anyone who lives, works or visits the Borough and the consultation documents can be completed online or downloaded via Eastleigh Borough Council's website.  The consultation ends on 10 November 2008.

Eastleigh Borough - The Next 20 Years:

Core Strategy and Community Plan Stakeholders' Workshop

 
On 22 May 2008 around sixty invited delegates from a wide range of organisations working in the Borough attended a half-day workshop at the Eastleigh Railway Insititute.  The purpose of the workshop was to help provide input for the development of a joint Core Strategy / Community Plan Consultation Document, which was publicly circulated in September 2008 at the start of a 6 week consultation period.
 
Each workshop participant was provided with:

 

The Discussion Paper represents a summary version of a larger and more detailed document - the Evidence BasePDF logo (6Mb: a large file) - which was created by the Borough Council to produce the Discussion Paper.
 
The feedback produced by participants during the workshop was collated into a set of notes, which was later circulated to all the workshop's participants.
 
 

Past Events - 2006

Update of Eastleigh Borough Community Plan

 
Date: Friday, 21st July 2006: An all-day event
 
Venue:  Hampshire Rose Bowl.

Purpose:  To update the Eastleigh Borough Community Plan, which was published in June 2004.
 
Who for:  All members of the Eastleigh Strategic Partnership - that is, those public, private, voluntary and community organisations that are:
 
  1. Active in the area of the Borough
  2. Represent the interests and/or serve the needs of the Borough and its inhabitants
  3. Committed to promoting the well-being of the area and its inhabitants

 

Outcomes:  Outputs from the event are available here.  Progress reports on the Themes in the Community Plan were presented at the event and these can be accessed on the page for the Community Plan

 

Community Partnership Event:  Because Your Voice Matters

Organised by the Eastleigh Strategic Partnership (ESP) in conjunction with Eastleigh Community Services (now known as OneCommunity)

 

Date:  Tuesday, 4th April 2006

 

Venue:  Hampshire Rose Bowl

 

Purpose:  To promote the involvement of the community and voluntary sectors in the ESP, including the development of processes to ensure representation of the following communities in the ESP Steering Group: faith, disability, black and ethic minorities, children & young people, older people, and poverty.

 

Who for:  Members of community and voluntary groups in the Borough of Eastleigh

 

Outcomes:  Conference Notes have been prepared for the event's participants and are available here.

 

 


ESP Bulletin

The ESP Bulletin is used as a means of sharing information amongst the members of the Partnership.  It contains information about matters of interest, future events and useful resources.  Published throughout the year, as and when required, the ESP Bulletin is sent out by email to all the Partnership's members.
